The “right team” is not only our excellent staff, but your family as well. Our program is designed to include your loved ones in the recovery process. We have multiple programs that will guide your loved one and family member through the admission and discharge process.
Our advanced equipment and techniques provide our patients with the best rehabilitative services in the Akron area. We have private rooms to accommodate all folks on a ventilator in our brand new, remodeled unit.

Our facility is staffed with a wide variety of expertly trained RN’s, LPN’s, respiratory therapists, nursing assistants, social workers, nurse practitioners, dietitian, and additional pastoral care. When a loved one needs specialized care, they’ll get the best right here at Meadow Wind. Some of our patients may need additional ventilator assistance and will not be able to return home immediately. Instead, we bring home to them in the form of our specialized ventilator unit. Long-term patients’ families are welcome here as we provide quality clinical care and education 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
At Meadow Wind, our goal is to get our patients on their feet, and with the help of our expertly skilled team…HOME.
Many patients who come to our facility transition home and live a fun, active and full life. Whether those going home are ventilator-dependent or not, we seek to educate patients and families to provide them with valuable tools that will make the transition easier. We will also help coordinate any necessary home-care arrangements, necessary equipment, and visiting staff (such as speech and occupational therapists).
